What We Do


Free Taster Classes at Gus Robinson Fitness Hartlepool: 

This gives you the opportunity to come and look around the gym at Gus Robinson HQ, spend dedicated time with a coach and try a Metodologia Funcional Sports workout. We’ll warm up, introduce you to some of the basic movements, and then carry out a small workout in order for you to experience the programme first hand.

The Fundamentals:

Every new member must undergo a course lasting 2 weeks (6 sessions), that will introduce you to the philosophy of Metodologia Funcional Sports and prepare you to enter the Main Classes knowing that you can confidently carry out the movement safely and efficiently.

In every class you will learn new movements and skills that will build from relatively non-technical to progressively more technical. There will be a workout at the end of every session that will get increasingly more challenging.

The difficulty of the workouts is up to you, we want to ramp you up to the level of intensity that is inherent in our group classes.


Metodologia Funcional Sports - Main Classes:

Group training is excellent for motivation and you will always push harder training together than you will training alone.

Every Session consists of: Warm up, Strength/ Skills Work, Principal Workout, Cool down.


Personal Classes at Gus Robinson Fitness Hartlepool:

Private 1 on 1 classes or a maximum of 3 people are available. Classes will tend to more specific needs and goals. These can be useful to build your confidence after 'The Fundamentals' course before joining the main class if you feel that would be beneficial to you.


Open Gym: 

The gym at Gus Robinson HQ has some time available where individuals can come and train alone, choose a workout that suits a weakness or just practice technique. This session won’t be coached but there will always be a coach around to offer any advice or answer any questions you may have. This is also a time that coaches can be training themselves.


Metodologia Funcional Sports for Pro Boxers: 

There are 2 Gus Robinson Funcional Fitness classes per week specifically for the Professional Boxing Team. Only the Professional Athletes will be able to train at this time.
